storytopresent has around 2.5 hours of video material in which I offer you several exercises and assignments to train yourself in becoming more expressive and confident in delivering your story.

The course has over 50 videos, divided into lectures, exercises and assignments. This way, at the end of this course not only have you gained knowledge about presenting, you have also trained your skills so you will be ready to go on stage.

Lectures

In the lecture videos, I share my views on public speaking that I have developed through more than ten years of training people to speak in public.

This video is a good example of a lecture from chapter 4 about delivery skills, in which I discuss what to be aware of when giving a presentation online.

 
 

Exercises

Most exercises come from my experience in theatre. They help you train your expression and delivery skills.

This exercise comes from chapter 1 about emotions and shows how to become active and start training your skills of delivery.

Assignments

In the assignments I will help you work on your own presentation. We work on building the content and the structure but also on becoming your own personal presentation coach.

This is an example of an assignment from chapter 1 where I ask you to describe the goal of your presentation.

 

Start building your skills of delivery

 

When people speak publicly, they focus on what they should not be doing: “don’t speak too fast”, “don’t say ‘um’”, “don’t be so nervous”. When you think about what you shouldn’t do, you lose focus on what you should be doing.

In my workshop, we focus on ‘active suggestions’ behaviour which makes your delivery stronger. These suggestions help you activate yourself and find your delivery style for your presentation.
